This is the digital home of the Meeting Climate Change reading group hosted by Paula Bialski, Julien McHardy and Daniela Weinmann on Humanities Commons.

We’re a small group of anthropologists based at St Gallen University working on the role, potential and limitations of small tech and innovation initiatives in environmental change-making.

As ethnographers, we follow a group of entrepreneurs, developers and hackers who set out to bridge the gap between climate promises and protest through weekly online hacking sessions.

This reading group considers our ethnographic encounters through a series of texts. We invite other researchers working on meeting climate change in the tech, design, activist and entrepreneur scene to read and think with us.
